Chief Information Officer
The Chief Information Officer is a key member of the Executive Team and will have full responsibility for the information technology (IT) strategy, resources, and operations. This leader will create a vision for technology that enables the business strategy and have a material impact on the success of the organization in terms of operational efficiency, productivity, and employee and customer satisfaction.
A key focus of the CIO will be to create an IT roadmap and strategy that enables the business to grow quickly through acquisition as well as organically and continues to enhance the company’s operational strategy. The CIO will be charged with creating a strategy for an ongoing, iterative migration to a modern, scalable, cost-efficient system environment that supports ECP’s business model and can be implemented into new locations quickly and seamlessly. Additionally, the CIO will be expected to work closely with the marketing and operations leadership teams to develop a multi-year plan for differentiated eye care experiences and greater access and connection with the market.
The CIO will need to understand the business of IT and implement strong processes with the goal of delivering applications that reflect the needs of the business and systems that can be easily implemented/scaled across the company and into expanding operations. Ideally, this executive will understand the complexities of a multi-location business and be able to operate successfully in a lean, hands-on, high-growth environment.
This executive will partner with the business leaders to create greater alignment between commercial goals and supporting technology creating innovative solutions for field operations, specifically in leveraging the EMR more effectively, integrating digital solutions, introducing cloud services and better using data and analytics.
The CIO will bring strong communication and collaboration skills and have the ability to manage competing priorities with sound judgment and confidence built on past success. This executive must share the vision for the organization and operate in concert with cross-functional leaders to deliver results.
The Chief Information Officer will have experience in developing a technology strategy for a rapidly growing organization. Experience with a variety of technologies and the ability to introduce patient focused technology platforms that benefit patients, internal teammates and physicians is essential to the success of the role. The new CIO should have the executive presence necessary to operate at the highest levels of influence as well as get into the details of IT, and thrive in an environment that emphasizes speed, agility and efficiency.
