JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of our North America business unit is responsible for the strategic direction of the business in the region whilst ensuring the day to day operations of the Company are run effectively, efficiently and sustainably. With full P&L responsibility for the NA region, they will work closely with the commercial functions to drive top line revenue and all other functions in driving operational efficiency, standardization and simplification of the business to manage the overall cost base.
Strong leadership in a matrixed organization and across all levels of the business and all functions will be essential to drive the Treatt culture forward.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and tasks of the Vice President, North America will involve the following:
Strategic business leadership
- Drive a safety first culture so all our employees go home safely every day
- Responsible for the overall P&L of the North America business unit
- Develop and vision and plan to integrate and align the global strategy within the North America market
- Understand how to lead within a matrixed organization to drive strategy, execute on milestones and move Treatt North America forward to increased success
- Work closely with Director of Strategy and Corporate Development to consider inorganic growth activity and identification of potential acquisitions including due diligence through to integration
- Actively drive the development and execution of Treatt strategy to maximize the profitability and overall success of Treatt
- Demonstrate business wide connection, inspiring the Treatt team to succeed and deliver the goals
- Foster a ‘no blame’ culture to enable entrepreneurial, empowering decision making, with a ‘fail fast, learn fast’ mentality
North American Business Unit Leadership
- Hire, grow, develop and manage a best in class team that can operate effectively and cross functionally across the Treat North America business unit
- Work with the Treatt North America Leadership Team to grow the business in accordance with the Group strategy
- Develop and deliver, in conjunction with the Treatt North America Leadership Team, the appropriate strategies for the effective day to day operational management of Treatt North America including risk management and operational strategies
- Develop and utilize key performance indicators for Treatt North America to proactively manage the business
Commercial and Operational focus
- Partner with Global Accounts Director and regional commercial leaders on all commercial aspects, customer relationships and key partnerships for the business unit
- Identify and benchmark current business performance to identify and target the biggest opportunities to improve across critical metrics to maximize customer satisfaction
- Support in managing external relationships across all areas including customers, suppliers and vendors
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures, policies and practices
- Foster operational relationships to promote solutions to internal bottlenecks and inefficiencies with sustainable solutions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- University degree (or equivalent) in business management, engineering, operations or a science
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role working within a similar industry specialism
- Demonstrable experienced in leadership of multi discipline teams
- International exposure in a similar role

- Can do attitude, focused on delivery not title
- Entrepreneurial vision – a self-starter with a hands-on approach
- Experience of a global matrixed organization with a proven track record
- Ability to lead and influence a culturally diverse team
- Strong commercial focus and strategic vision to see a wider picture
- Great interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to lead, manage, motivate and influence teams and colleagues
- Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, operations and strategic planning
- Excellent understanding of financial data
- Capable of difficult decision making – utilizing all the appropriate information required, and sharing views with key stakeholders
- Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement expertise preferred
TRAVEL:
Regular domestic travel (approx. 50%) with occasional overseas to UK and China. Domestic travel also required.
