Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) is a nonprofit healthcare organization that has been providing affordable and culturally-sensitive quality primary and behavioral healthcare services to South Florida residents since 1971. CHI operates 11 state-of-the-art primary care centers and 35 school-based programs, and its physicians are board-certified. Recently, CHI embarked on a mission to build the first comprehensive Children's Crisis Center in southern Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a HIM Specialist at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. located in Cutler Bay, FL. The HIM Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining patient health information data accuracy, confidentiality, and security. They will also handle data entry, record processing, release of information, and electronic health record systems management.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Health Information Management (HIM) practices and procedures
- Experience with data entry, record processing, and release of information
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient health information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field (preferred)
