What You Will Be Doing
The Information Security Analyst & Incident Responder will be responsible for assessing information security maturity of supply network partners and investigating cybersecurity incidents that affect the company's supply chain or internal systems. This role will require a deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, knowledge of industry best practices, and an ability to learn quickly. The Information Security Analyst & Incident Responder works in close liaison with Volvo Group's Security Incident Response (SOC) team. This position will be based in Greensboro, NC, will report to the Head of Purchasing, Strategy, and Digitalization North America, and will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing Business Information Security Officer (BISO).
Responsibilities Will Include
- Evaluate and administrate supplier assessments in information security
- Support the Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) organization as well as the suppliers in understanding and implementing Volvo Group security requirements
- Support the GTP organization in their interaction with external suppliers
- Stay up to date on security threats and trends to continuously improve Volvo GTP organization's security posture
- This position’s responsibility is more focused on day-to-day tasks aiming to execute the security program developed by the BISO (Business Information Security Officer)
- Receive notifications of cybersecurity incidents from external sources, such as suppliers or the Volvo Group's SOC team
- Investigate the impact of cybersecurity incidents on the company's operations, data privacy, IP (Intellectual Property), and other areas as needed
- Follow established incident response procedures of Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing
- Collaborate with other teams in the case of internal cybersecurity incidents, to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Document incident response activities and produce incident reports
Who We Are Looking For
- Academic degree within IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Previous experience in information security risk assessment is required
- Professional experience in the field of Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Information Security
- Knowledge of information security frameworks/standards such as NIST and ISO27001
- Certification in CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or similar is preferable
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
