What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Assist with pre-billing tasks required by payers for the Prior Authorization program
- Review medical policies, complete benefit investigations, and initiate prior authorizations
- Communicate outcomes with stakeholders and respond to billing-related inquiries from clinicians and patients
- with various departments to ensure timely approvals and enhance service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of prior authorization requests, approvals, and denials in databases
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with insurance claims, pre-authorization, and medical benefits
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective customer relations and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 2 or more years of experience working in LCLS and/or LCBS
- 1 or more years of clinical RCM experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
