Job Summary
The position is an integral role responsible for the end-to-end support and delivery of IT Services to all lines of business Stakeholders in the Mid-South including the support of US L2 and L3. The main purpose of this role is to ensure business-IT alignment, and IT service level agreements are delivered effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Region offices IT Operations & Service Delivery – end-to-end support on any IT related issues & requirements in the Regional facilities
- Deliver results using defined priorities and KPI for all IT Field support technicians for the Mid-South Region
- Annual availability commitment of 99.95% of networking systems in all Regional facilities by managing incidents with networking managed services partners.
- Manage support and implementation of all network devices (routers, switches & access points) together with outsourcing partners
- Manage support and implementation of all End User tools, requests, incidents (PC, printers, telephones, headsets, applications support) together with outsourcing partners
- Planning, procurement, deployment, and break-fixes to maintain optimal performance of End User tools, PC’s and IT peripheral devices and in all Regional facilities
- Support the US L2 and L3 based in the Regional offices with their computing and telecommunication needs and meeting with regional leadership frequently
- Detect and analyze process defects and/or opportunities applying improvement actions & automation for Regional facilities
- Manage outsourcing partners to determine how to improve both current and future systems and capacities in Regional facilities
- Approve and make decisions within field services scope on technologies used and how it impacts the Regional facilities operations for both the legacy and digital enablement requirements
- Lead improvement initiatives to increase operational stability with both internal and external IT and business operations stakeholders in the Regional facilities
- Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
- Meet or exceed company safety standards
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
- College degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5+ years of experience in IT Service Mgmt or IT Infrastructure related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting End User Tools (PC, Printers, monitors, O365, etc)
- 5+ years of experience working with IT network infrastructures (circuits, routers, switches)
- 5+ years of experience working with IT related projects
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 including TEAMs, PowerPoint, Word, Etc)
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Team player, able take a leadership role in dealing effectively with various internal and external teams/departments
- Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and comprehend new technologies quickly
Working Conditions
- Capable of working in an office environment
- Capable of working extended hours as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work with standard office computer equipment
- Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary
