What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Review medical orders and summarize relevant information
- Make and receive calls to verify eligibility and benefits with health insurance companies
- Acquire medical chart notes and liaise with payers for pre-authorization
- Verify secondary pre-authorizations through documentation links
- Ensure confidentiality of medical records and operate in compliance with applicable laws
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
- Proficient computer literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of medical or health insurance processes
- Background in Medicare
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal)
