The Network Administrator is responsible to the Director of Technology Services for the continuity of network services for the campus by planning, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure components and operating systems in support of academic, student, and administrative services. The Network Administrator will also support the campus community by providing assistance to the end-user in the use of the campus network, and campus hardware and software dependent on network services. The network administrator will also work, as a team member, in the planning and development of the college's information infrastructure and data security strategies.
Hiring Range ($4,134 - 4,479/monthly)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or related field.
- Three to Five years of experience in a network or technology support position.
- Combination of education and experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP and basic network services.
- Demonstrated computer hardware maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in server administration using current Windows server products.
- Demonstrated experience with the installation and configuration of network switches and routers.
- Experience with current Windows client operating systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability and desire to develop supervisory and team-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in Cyber Security Standards.
- Knowledge with O365 Administration is a plus.
- MCSA or MCSE certification is a plus.
Special Instructions
The functions of the job will involve some amount of walking, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting up to 50 lbs., sitting, carrying, and other movements. Tasks such as working at a computer keyboard or typewriter may involve extensive wrist and hand movements. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without a significant risk of injury to themselves or others, or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions listed above.
