Position Summary
The VP, Enterprise Risk Management leads the development and execution of the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program. Responsibilities include working with management teams, executive leadership, and leadership / board-level committees to build and enhance risk identification, monitoring, assessments, and reporting to drive responsible growth and innovation at Triumph. We are looking for a dynamic leader that embraces change, will influence the organization, and can adapt the ERM program to fit our unique risk profile and growth.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the ERM program to identify, measure, monitor, and report on risks and associated mitigation strategies in collaboration with business units and consistent with the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Board established risk appetite;
- Collaborate with and influence senior leaders and managers across business functions to drive and champion enterprise-wide assessments and ERM initiatives that support new products;
- Evolve the model risk management and operational risk management program consistent with the bank’s size and complexity;
- Lead and manage the ERM team consisting of an ERM Program Manager and Senior Risk Analyst to accomplish the goals of the ERM program;
- Enhance and present key risk reporting to senior and executive leadership, committees, and the Board of Directors to drive actionable insights;
- Further develop tools and processes for identifying, quantifying, prioritizing, and acting on risks;
- Maintain ERM policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory expectations and industry best practices;
- Interact with bank examiners and internal audit including responding to examination and audit requests;
- Manage the development and delivery of ERM training programs and promote a strong risk culture of integrity, transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Experience & Education
In addition to the previously stated elements, the ideal candidate for the VP, Enterprise Risk Management role will not only execute in the trenches, but also successfully lead a team and support senior management. Specific requirements for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field;
- 10 years or more of proven experience in financial services and risk management;
- Knowledge of or experience in the financial technology industry preferred
- Knowledge of the transportation shipping and/or logistics factoring industry is not required, but is a plus
