Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager to join our team in Midland, Texas, United States. The role involves managing the cybersecurity roadmap and leading a team to ensure the protection of our company's information assets. The Security Manager will be responsible for maintaining effective policies, compliance and vendor-related security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development, maintenance, and evolution of a comprehensive cybersecurity roadmap that continually adapts to corporate risks and threats.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust security program that significantly protects our company's information assets.
- Developing and maintaining effective policies and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Providing leadership and hands-on support to the team in areas such as incident response, data protection & encryption, identity & access management.
- Conducting third-party information security assessments and monitoring cybersecurity practices of vendors or partners.
- Preparing materials for audit committee and managing expectations regarding IT SOX testing activities.
- Leading incident response actions, conducting tabletop exercises, and ensuring appropriate tools and controls are in place.
- Assessing the program to NIST CSF framework to experienced to desired capabilities.
- Applying knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley and Cyber Security in the execution of duties.
- Liaising and working closely with external auditors and the SOX Team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a security management role or similar
- Demonstrable expertise in SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Proficiency in Cyber Security practices and procedures
- Familiarity with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) guidelines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
- Proven leadership abilities and team management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant detail oriented certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security detail oriented (CISSP) would be advantageous
- Ability to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of information technology and data management systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
