We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with deep expertise in IT networking and infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold relevant certifications and possess a robust background in designing, analyzing, and managing complex network systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
- Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Enterprise or Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- Ten years of technical experience in IT networking.
- Recent certifications, such as:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
- Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) from Palo Alto Networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and document computer networks and infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation for statewide networks.
- Develop and analyze network designs and protocols, focusing on security, disaster recovery, and client support.
- Plan, forecast, and implement network systems to support growth and new product integration.
- Lead major network projects, oversee capacity upgrades, and ensure seamless integration of new features.
- Evaluate network systems and recommend maintenance improvements.
- Apply up-to-date knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networking to enhance efficiency and standardization.
- Ensure security compliance and adherence to network standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and proactive problem identification and resolution.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Generate weekly project progress reports.
- Conduct regular status meetings and collaborate with team members to resolve end-user issues.
- Lead network design and implementation efforts, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Layer 2 & 3 optimization, boundary virtual switching, and scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
- Knowledge of enterprise data center, cloud networking, and SDN.
- Experience with Zero Trust Network Access, WAN optimization, and enterprise VoIP.
- Proficiency in network security services, including Identity Management, malware filtering, intrusion prevention, and VPNs.
- Ability to configure and secure Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Palo Alto platforms.
- Experience with network management protocols and enterprise wireless access systems.
Desired Capabilities
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior team members.
- Effective communication skills for presentations and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with IP multicast, enterprise video conferencing, and scripting languages.
