The Opportunity
DAT is looking for a
NOC Engineer to join our platform team working hybrid in Denver, Colorado; Beaverton, Oregon; or remote Seattle, Washington.
Candidate profile
We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Engineer with a strong focus on Incident Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health of our IT infrastructure, swiftly responding to and resolving incidents to ensure minimal downtime. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing incident trends, and facilitating each step of our incident management process. Strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and experience with monitoring tools and ITIL practices are essential.
The NOC Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and providing timely communication to stakeholders during and after incidents. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of basic software practices, cloud infrastructure, and incident escalation processes. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is calm under pressure, and is committed to continuous improvement in incident response procedures. This position also requires technical triage skills.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the daily operations of the Network Operations Center.
- Monitor and maintain performance and system health.
- Swiftly respond to incidents and outages.
- Develop and implement NOC processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to triage technical issues.
- Ensure all incidents are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide detailed documentation of performance and incidents, conduct root cause analysis and timely communication to stakeholders
- Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
The Skills And Experience You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in network operations.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols.
- Experience with monitoring tools and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position with potential for on-call duties and shift work.

The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience.
