Key Responsibilities:
The Sr. Cisco Network Engineer will act as a subject matter expert responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the following areas:
• Cisco Catalyst – Experience with 2960, 3650, 9200, and 9600 Series switches.
• Switching Technologies – Proficient in multi-chassis Ether-channel, Dot1Q, VTP, Spanning Tree, and Cisco Stacking/Stack Virtual technology.
• Cisco Wireless – Expertise with Cisco Wireless technologies (IOS-XE, AIROS).
• Cisco ASA Firewalls – NAT, IPSEC, SSLVPN, Transparent/Routed modes.
• Cisco AnyConnect – Policies, profiles, and Secure Boot Loader (SBL).
• Cisco Security Suite – Knowledge of Secure End Point, Umbrella, DUO, StealthWatch, Thousand Eyes, and SecureX.
• Cisco ISE – Proficient in MAB, Dot1x, TACACS, RADIUS, and Posture.
• Routing Protocols – Experience with BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• VRF Technology and WAN/LAN Design (5+ years).
• Cisco SmartNet and Licensing management.
• Knowledge of Open Gear Console Server and logging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5+ years of CCNP-level experience in Route/Switch/Wireless/Security.
• Proficient in project management for network-focused maintenance/deployment projects.
• Hands-on experience with **Microsoft Windows Server (Active Directory Structure, File/Print Services).
• Knowledgeable in DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP, Dot1x, and resilience-based architecture.
• Familiarity with Cisco Meraki solutions, NIST 800-37, GRC, and Citrix environments.
• Basic proficiency in Linux OS and VMware.
• Experience with SSL Certificate creation and management.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Mid-level WAN/LAN design, review, and equipment staging.
• Equipment implementation including rack & stack, configuration management, and acceptance testing.
• Providing mentorship to field technicians.
• Supporting network engineering tasks without being responsible for design.
