SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the smooth operation of Curexa’s IT infrastructure. Work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly. To be successful in this role, a DevOps engineer must have a deep understanding of both development and operations processes, as well as a strong technical background.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for PHP and Laravel applications on AWS.
- Manage and automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of PHP applications using AWS
- Ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance on AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor system performance and proactively optimize infrastructure for cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize application architecture for cloud scalability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work site is either remote work from home or a climate-controlled environment with workdays of 8 hours per day Monday through Friday
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The DevOps Engineer is interviewed and hired by the Director of Applications & Integrations. S/he is delegated sufficient authority to successfully complete the duties, responsibilities, goals, and objectives that are assigned to this position.
DUTIES AND TASKS
Tasks may be assigned that encompass not mentioned duties and responsibilities.
Designing, developing and testing development, quality Assurance and Production environments.
Participating in weekly Application Development planning meetings
Estimating level of difficulty and time to complete tasks.
Manage changes to code using source code control software.
Manage and configure deployment processes, software and environments.
Must be able to provide after-hours support on time sensitive issues.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE
The DevOps Engineer should conduct his/herself in an ethical and prudent manner in compliance with all company policies and procedures which include personal phone call conversations, dress code, time off, leaving the pharmacy during working hours, holidays, vacation requests, customer service, lunch break, and punctuality. The code of ethics of Curexa should be followed in all duties performed as described by the employee handbook.
Responsibilities assigned are completed in an effective, accurate and efficient manner.
