Role Overview:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of the client’s infrastructure. Your work will support healthcare professionals by reducing operational burdens and enhancing collaboration among care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and optimize AWS and Azure environments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Kubernetes Operations:
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and associated tools like Cilium, Linkerd, Karpenter, and Cert Manager.
- Optimize cluster performance with Metrics Server and External Secrets.
- System Automation & Tool Deployment:
- Deploy and maintain solutions like Kafka, Airflow, and Elasticsearch.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, FluxCD, and ArgoCD.
- Database & Server Administration:
- Administer RDS databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Automate workflows with Bash, Python, or Ruby scripts and manage Linux environments.
- Monitoring & Security:
- Implement monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Ensure infrastructure meets HIPAA and SOC2 compliance standards.
- Collaboration & Incident Management:
- Work with engineering teams to design compliant infrastructure.
- Lead response efforts for 24/7/365 operations, resolving production issues in real time.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps.
- 3-5 years of experience managing Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Experience with AWS Advanced Networking and Security.
- AWS certifications, such as:
- Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
- DevOps Engineer Professional
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Bash, Python/Go, Groovy, and YAML scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, network security, and encryption.
- Experience working with relational, NoSQL, and Graph databases.
- Familiar with version control and collaboration tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.
