About the Role:
The IT Divisional Manager of IT Performance is a strategic leadership role overseeing the IT Performance team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Technology, this role is pivotal in ensuring that IT governance, strategy, performance measurement, and continuous improvement processes are effectively managed to support and align with the organization's objectives. The IT Divisional Manager will lead a team dedicated to optimizing IT operations, ensuring compliance with governance standards, and fostering innovation within the IT department.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategy and Governance: Develop and implement IT governance frameworks to ensure IT initiatives align with organizational goals. Oversee the strategic planning process for IT, including developing IT strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Performance Measurement: Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services and operations. Analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance IT service delivery.
- Risk Management: Lead the IT risk management process, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT-related risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Serve as a liaison to Internal Audit and Business Continuity teams.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of IT resources, including budgeting, financial management, staffing, and technology investments. Ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet project timelines and organizational priorities.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services. Ensure obligations to vendor terms are met.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives within the IT department, ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and successfully. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring that IT projects and services meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Communicate IT performance metrics and achievements to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Performance team. Promote a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing, problem-solving, and professional growth.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within IT governance, strategy, or performance management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks and performance measurement systems.
- Strong understanding of IT risk management principles and compliance regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with change management principles and practices.
