Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Systems Administrator at Tekcetera Inc. in Southern California. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, technical support, network security, and Voice over IP (VoIP) implementation and maintenance.
The position will be a combination of roles including but not limited to Systems technician, Network technician and General Field Support Services. You will need to be able to install, replace and troubleshoot multiple devices including but not limited to, desktops, laptops, printers, and network equipment (routers, switches, Wireless devices). Responsibilities include supporting operating systems ranging from Windows 8 to Windows 11 and Windows Server 2012-2022. Role includes support of end users local/remote and resolving hardware problems. You must have strong communication skills and excellent organization and planning skills to perform multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment which offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. Candidate must be able to work with little supervision and direct management interaction on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Network Administration and Troubleshooting skills
- 5-7 years experience administering Windows 2012R2/2022 servers (setting up users, groups, permissions, policies, AD, DHCP, DNS, File and Print Services
- 5-7 years experience with Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016/2019 Office 365
- 5-7 years experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting network based equipment
- Experience working in Microsoft SQL 2016 through 2022 is a plus.
- Experience with versions of Mac iOS are a plus
- Have strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to use basic hand tools to work on systems, networks and server rooms
- Thoroughly troubleshoot and document any procedures or processes discovered or performed

- Basic knowledge of Routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points and wireless devices
- Technical Support experience
- Network Security knowledge
- Voice over IP (VoIP) expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
