Summary:
Wyze is seeking a talented and dedicated Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. As a Cyber Security Engineer at Wyze, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems, networks, and data, ensuring the security and privacy of our products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures, monitoring for threats, and responding to incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Security Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain security measures for Wyze's systems, networks, and applications. This includes configuring and managing security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and more.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and remediate potential weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications.
- Security Policies: Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and relevant regulations.
- Incident Response: Monitor for security incidents, investigate breaches, and lead the incident response efforts to contain and mitigate security threats.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, DevOps engineers, and IT teams, to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and ensure a proactive security posture.
- Security Research: Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations to improve our security posture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Security Assessment and Penetration Testing: Conduct ethical hacking and penetration testing on camera devices and web applications to identify vulnerabilities and security flaws.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, emphasizing embedded systems, network, and application security.
- Security Implementation: Develop and implement robust security measures to protect camera devices, web applications, and data infrastructure from unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Data Management and Query Optimization: Manage and optimize data queries in Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, efficiency, and compliance with data governance standards.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM solutions, and more.
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with cloud security in platforms such as AWS and GCP.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, or CEH are preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
