Windows System Engineer
Location: Remote w/ onsite one/two days a week in Needham, MA
Length of Contract: 1+ year
Hourly Rate: 60-70 p/hr
Health Requirements: Candidate must have previous Covid Vaccinations ( first two) or be willing to get them. Also flu vaccination is required beginning September

Hospital in Massachusetts is in need of a strong Windows System Engineer. This role will be a combination of build, solutions patching, and support. Being an expert in windows systems is required. This is primarily an On Prem need for Windows Server 2019 / 2022. Cloud technologies will not be used much for this position.

Windows System Engineer - 5+ years needed

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science or a related discipline or 5 years related experience
5+ years of server administration experience in a VMWare management
Experience with Cisco rack-mountable servers (UCS) and Dell EMC converged infrastructure
3+ Years MS Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Platform Cloud Experience
Must have working knowledge of Networking
Must have excellent distributed systems platform knowledge
Familiarity with the concepts of ITIL v.3
Epic infrastructure knowledge a plus
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
Solid experience in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10 management required
Virtual Desktop Experience, Remote Desktop Services, Horizon View, Azure Virtual Desktops preferred
Active Directory Users, Group Policy administration preferred
DNS/DHCP administration preferred
Knowledge of Server scripting and automation, i.e. Ansible, PowerShell, VBS, Bash, etc.

Must have experience of virtualization technologies, i.e. VMware, ESX 6.7, 7.x
Some experience with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions is preferred
Experienced in troubleshooting network-related issues

Users/customers-oriented, experienced working with end-users on a regular basis preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all
levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel
