Junior Network Technician:
- Assist Senior Network engineer with getting new worksite locations set up and on line
- Follow step by step instructions on how to acquire and configure the necessary networking equipment
- Box up and mail equipment to remote locations
- Assist remote users in setting up networking equipment and getting online
- Work with remote network providers as necessary to get remote locations up an running
- Assist with troubleshooting remote location network connects
- Some travel to remote location might me require. This includes trip that may be in driving distance or trips requiring air travel and overnight stays.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, and associated training plans for network administration and usage
- Provide technical support for Audio-Visual equipment, computers, and network connections in home office meeting rooms.
- Other task that may be assigned by the SR Network Engineer
Must Have Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in computer science/related field or experience in information technology and networking
- 1+ years of experience working IT technical support position
- General understanding of LAN and WAN networking principles
- Willingness to learn or experience with hardware troubleshooting.
- Technical knowledge of network and computer operating systems in the context of network performance
- Strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Reliable automobile
- Ability to travel for work on day trips or overnight
- Strong customer service skills
