Job Description:
A Network Engineer is responsible for network architecture, configuration, integration and troubleshooting any network hardware or Microsoft Azure cloud virtual network software equipment on a per-project, lab, or support basis. Also responsible for using network monitoring tools to validate configuration and successful implementation of a project that involves an IP network. Must be able to handle multiple projects at a time.
Responsibilities:
Be the Subject Matter Expert in IP Network Engineering and Network Security for Broadband Hospitality
Assist the Sales Engineering department with Build of Materials (BOMs)
Assist the Support department as tier 3 escalation for network issues
Be open to the evolution into NetOps and working with DevOps Tools like Terraform/Ansible to provision/configure networks using Infrastructure as Code
Design, implement, and documentation of single and multi-scope networks with network and security best practices:
Scopes that will involve network architecture/engineering/security:
Microsoft Azure Network Infrastructure
Fiber terminations/Ethernet Cabling (Design only)
Internet Scope (WLAN, Routing, Switching, Firewall, Internet Gateway)
Interactive Television (On-Premises Servers/IP Set Top Boxes, MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise)
White Label iOS/Android Mobile Application (MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise)
Public Digital Signage (MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise)
CCTV (NVR and IP Cameras)
VOIP (PBX Server and IP Phones)
Chromecast Casting (Nomadix Casting Server and Chromecast wireless devices)
All future scopes that involve IP Network Engineering
Perform site surveys as requested
Document network architecture for both Cloud and On-premises networks
Create network training documents for other departments and participate in training sessions.
Work with internal staff and vendors to escalate issues and best practice designs.
Certifications Required:
A valid CCNP
Certifications Preferred:

Skills Required:
We require that you have 7+ years of experience with IP Network Architecture, Engineering and Troubleshooting
Knowledge of:
Copper and Fiber cabling infrastructure to residential and/or commercial real estate planning/designing/implementing.
Routing
Switching
802.1q
Layer 4 firewalls
VPN Tunneling
WLAN
802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax
Network access like Cisco TACACS and ISE
Knowledge in reading commercial blueprints for low-level voltage topology for the following scopes:
IP CCTV Camera and NVR systems
Wireless Access Points
MDF/IDF
DEMARC
Ability to use and understand IP packet captures.
Ability to use and understand wireless heat maps.
Basic understanding of AAA and 802.1x, preferably in a visitor-based network.

Express Route
Virtual Network Peering
Network monitoring
Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Set up and configured the PRTG Network Monitoring tool.
Skills Preferred:
Hospitality, MDU, Senior Living Facilities verticals experience

Ekahau and/or Air Magnet
Blueprint reading and markup (Bluebeam)
Knowledge of one or more of the following desired:
Multicast Routing (PIM)

VOIP/SIP network engineering

RF Distribution (DirecTV, CATV)
Bluetooth Low Energy for Internet Of Things
GRE Tunneling
Knowledge of DevOps Tools

Special Requirements:
The position is remote with requests to come to the Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Youngstown, OH Office, or customer site whenever necessary.
The candidate must be bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
Ability to work a 15% travel schedule
Ability and desire to travel overseas by plane for installation projects
Ability to work overseas in a foreign environment
Adaptable to a changeable travel schedule (Client dictates travel schedule and arrangements)
Ability to travel independently and communicate with non-English speaking people
Ability to work in close quarters with others
Ability to stand, and walk for long periods, at least eight hours per day
Ability to lift to 60 pounds
Ability to walk up stairs
Ability to work in noisy and hot or cold working conditions
