WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: (Job Duties)
We are seeking an Security Manager to join the IT team at Azamara. You will develop and maintain the organization’s IT security strategy, defining policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will assess the risk and develop mitigation strategies, along with managing the incident response processes. The position requires leading IT security initiatives, while overseeing security tools and technologies, and fostering a culture of security awareness. Additionally, the role includes conducting audits, preparing reports for senior management, coordinating with external vendors, and delivering security training programs. Collaboration with IT teams and post-incident analysis are also key responsibilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's IT security strategy.
- Define security policies, procedures, and protocols in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in the IT infrastructure.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Manage incident response processes to minimize the impact of security breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and internal policies (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on the state of IT security.
- Allocate resources effectively to address security challenges.
- Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
- Oversee the implementation and management of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
- Monitor security alerts and manage the investigation of potential security incidents.
- Coordinate with external security vendors and consultants as needed.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
- Communicate best practices and promote a security-first mindset across the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend new security tools, technologies, and processes to improve the organization’s security posture.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of systems and applications.
- Lead the response to security breaches, including communication with stakeholders and coordination with law enforcement if necessary.
- Conduct post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR: (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT security or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing IT security strategies and managing security incidents.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of IT security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, encryption, and security incident management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
