Description
We are seeking a Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's computer systems, networks, and servers to ensure optimal performance. This role involves system management, network administration, user support, data security, and project management. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications to ensure system reliability.
Monitor system performance, conduct regular updates, and optimize server uptime and efficiency.
Manage, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
Implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Provide technical support to users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system errors.
Ensure data security compliance by applying necessary updates, patches, and security protocols.
Document solutions and processes to assist users and reduce repeat issues.
Train staff on system usage and best practices.
Stay updated on security vulnerabilities and regularly apply security patches.
Support new software implementations, upgrades, and other IT projects as needed.
Collaborate with IT team to evaluate, test, and integrate new technologies and software.
Requirements
Thorough knowledge of Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, and Cloud Technologies
Proficiency in Dell Technologies and Firewall Technologies
Familiarity with AB Testing and Active Directory
Expertise in Backup Technologies and Cluster Analysis
Strong understanding of Computer Hardware
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Puppet, Terraform, Microsoft Azure, and PowerShell Scripting
Ability to troubleshoot system issues and effectively manage system resources
Strong communication skills to interact with other team members and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature
Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications in system administration will be considered a plus.
