Summary
This position responsible for the corporate-wide information technology strategy and plans across all IT functions, including systems design, programming, installation and operations. Evaluates technology feasibility studies based on company business needs and priorities.
While working to achieve N3B LLCC objectives, the CIO will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner to include protecting the confidentiality and integrity of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
The position reports to the Executive Officer for N3B
Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may Include, But Are Not Limited To)
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a company-wide vision, strategy and architecture, to include establishing, maintaining and monitoring the policies and procedures, which promote the secure and uninterrupted operation of all information technology systems.
- Direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures
- Provide leadership and direction, handle escalations of difficult problems, and monitor, analyze, and report trends
- Identifies, develops and implements information programs to maintain processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology risks
- Responds to incidents, establishes appropriate standards and controls
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Interprets new legislation, regulations, executive orders, and agreements.
- Remains current with new federal/state regulations and implements changes to the programs, as necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely at all levels of personnel
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Ability to monitor, analyze, and report trends
- Demonstrated experience specific to DOE contract execution is highly preferred.
- High degree of skill in reading and interpreting regulations and guidance
- Ability to cultivate a close relationship with multiple stakeholders to understand their needs, respond quickly to their requests, and provide feedback in a timely manner
- Ability to train and mentor more staff
- Ability to work under tremendous pressure
- Requires advance to expert level knowledge and understanding of information security architecture, information security technologies, systems design, integration of systems, and networking.
- Demonstrated project management, organization and facilitation skills.
Education And Experience Required
B.S. combined with at least 23 years’ experience relevant to this position. Experience should include a minimum of 8 years of management.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
Physical requirements conducive to a normal office environment. Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the discipline. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
