Basic Function
The purpose of this position is to provide part-time support for training in mindfulness and meditation techniques offered by the Office of the Dean of the Chapel. As directed by the Dean of the Chapel the primary function is to lead small group activities and develop student leaders for small groups as well as create program activities that will enhance the skills of members of the University community. This position will report to the Dean of the Chapel.
Supervisory Accountability
Responsible for orienting and training others and assigning and reviewing their work. May also be responsible for acting in a “lead” or “senior” capacity over other positions performing similar work, or related technical or operational tasks and reporting to a higher level on a formal basis.
Nature And Scope
Internal contacts generally include students, faculty, staff and administrators. External contacts generally include mindfulness training organizations, mindfulness teachers, other related trainers and organizational contacts.
Principal Accountabilities
At the direction of the Dean of the Chapel provide mindfulness and meditation programs and guidance to students, student groups, and others on campus.
As directed by the Dean of the Chapel, coordinate small group meetings to enhance the practice of mindfulness and increase resilience among students.
Develops programs and training materials for the use in mindfulness and meditation groups and workshops.
Along with and at the direction of the Dean of the Chapel, identifies and develops student leaders in mindfulness and meditation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or any combination of five years education or experience.

Expected Pay Range: $50 per hour
