We’re looking for a vice president, enterprise data management to join our ranks and play a pivotal role in Commonwealth’s Digital and Product Transformation journey. The right candidate is a strong leader with a strategic vision and the practical execution experience to deliver high-quality data products. They must be able to understand business needs and translate them to data products delivered through optimized data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Strategy Development: Developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives
- Data Architecture: Overseeing the design and implementation of data architecture to support data integration, storage, and analytics
- Data Management: Managing data assets, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data marts
- Data Analytics: Collaborating with business units to implement data products and pipelines to meet the demands of data analytics for insights and decision-making
- Data for Digital: Managing data assets and pipelines to meet the complex integration needs to deliver real-time digital experiences.
- Data Maintenance: Delivering and continuously improving our enterprise data lake, APIs and other integrations, Master Data Management, and AI/ML platforms
- Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing team of data professionals, providing mentorship and development opportunities
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards
- Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with senior leadership, IT, and business units to align data initiatives with business needs
Core Strengths And Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data interoperability frameworks; must have deep architecture knowledge of APIs, SaaS platforms for CRM, Service Management, InfoSec, and HRIS and run-time queries
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
