Job Title: Associate Director, IT and Data Analytics
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid, Full-Time)
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Director of IT and Data Analytics to lead and enhance the organization’s IT infrastructure and data information systems. This role is central to advancing their mission by developing innovative technology strategies and solutions, aligning our technology resources with our organizational goals, and ensuring a world-class IT and Data Analytics presence. As the Associate Director, you will manage the development and integration of data platforms, analytics tools, and business intelligence solutions that drive the organization’s objectives. You’ll play a key role in strategic planning for IT, data security, and analytics, contributing to the continued success and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee large-scale IT projects, establishing goals, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure robust network infrastructure, providing both local and area-wide connectivity and secure remote access.
- Lead IT and analytics-specific RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for technology and service acquisitions.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to IT and data services.
- Implement and monitor enterprise-wide Incident Response Plans and audit processes.
- Develop and deploy complex data models and machine learning algorithms, with proficiency in programming languages.
- Support and implement modern database and cloud technology solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in IT and/or data analytics, including supervisory or management roles.
- Proven experience with cloud technologies and cloud platform data services.
- Proficiency in data modeling, machine learning, and modern programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of database and information system technologies.
- Background in utility, CCA, or government agency settings is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Utility, government agency, or CCA (Community Choice Aggregator) experience.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, remote access, and cloud platforms.
- Experience in public agencies, electric utilities, or similar energy load-serving entities.
