Job Summary

Senior Network Engineers support the Dynamix networking sales, support and professional services mission by performing billable consulting and implementation services for Dynamix clients, including planning, installation, configuration, migration, testing, skills transfer, and documentation. They also perform post-installation consulting and technical support to ensure client satisfaction with Dynamix-delivered products and services and assist with pre-sales marketing activities. They must work collaboratively with other Dynamix team members and as senior engineers, are expected to demonstrate initiative and leadership.

Salary

Base salary starts at $160,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company. Salary will be based on experience.

This position is also eligible for bonus of $20,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

Provides billable implementation services, including planning, installation, configuration, migration, testing, skills transfer, and documentation.
Provides billable “subject matter expert” consulting and support services, including performance analysis and tuning, capacity planning, security consulting, disaster recovery planning, system availability consulting, and operational assistance.
Supports non-billable pre-sales marketing activities, solution designs and customer interactions.
Supports post-installation technical needs.
Improves and expands technical skills on a continual basis through collaboration with management to develop and implement a personal education and skills plan.
Provides an authoritative source of technical information for customers and sales teams.

Skills

Extensive technical experience in implementing enterprise datacenter route/switch designs. (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IGRP, etc.).
Experience with Cisco Networking, Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto deployments.
Experience with controller-based network technologies (ACI, Data Center Fabric (NDFC), Viptela/SD-WAN, Catalyst Center).
Experience with general automation skills (APIs, Python, etc.).
Advanced understanding of network security design concepts and working knowledge of firewall technologies.
Advanced understanding of other network design concepts (e.g., wireless, load balancing (F5), etc.).
Advanced understanding of network automation and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
10+ years’ total technology experience
8+ years’ network engineering experience
Experience in client consulting environments a plus
Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification or ability to obtain it within six months of hire
Additional related network certifications (wireless, security, load balancing, etc.) desired or ability to obtain
Excellent documentation skills using various documentation applications. (e.g., MS Excel, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem determination skills

Job Demands

Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others meetings or via phone.
This role requires a moderate amount of travel.
