ABOUT US:

Our client is a premiere real estate developer based in Manhattan that is looking to bring on a Director of Asset Management in a newly-created role given a number of new developments in their portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead asset management efforts for preservation projects where our client is the developer, providing oversight during pre-development, construction, marketing, and lease-up phases.
Collaborate with teams to ensure properties meet design, safety, operational efficiency, and resident satisfaction goals, while tracking rent, subsidy collection, and lease-up progress.
Support property management by developing tools, systems, and processes for efficient operations, and ensure readiness for audits and regulatory compliance.
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, analyzing operating reports, identifying inefficiencies, and maximizing rental revenue through proactive management.
Negotiate contracts with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with agreements and loan documentation, while managing insurance and legal matters related to properties.
Improve resident quality of life by engaging in community-building initiatives and resolving tenant and maintenance issues through site inspections and collaboration with property teams.
Lead the adoption of new technology and operational frameworks to increase property management efficiency and overall value creation for our client.

QUALIFICATIONS:

6-8+ years experience working in commercial or multifamily real estate required.
Proficiency in Yardi required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Driven to identify project priorities independently.
Ability to manage multiple time sensitive tasks at once.
