Position Summary

Day to day support of physical server environment and infrastructure, including remote datacenter rack(s) as well as desktop support for on-site users. Position requires a “jack of all trades” IT person who not afraid to learn new technologies as well as maintaining current hardware and systems. Familiarity with managed HA networking equipment, production uptime goals, and virtualization are musts.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain day to day operations of server and desktop infrastructure, including servers, fi rewalls, switches, and VPNs
Monitor system backups and procedures to ensure data security
Monitor, maintain, and support network infrastructure
Install new / rebuild existing servers and confi gure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with operational requirements
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation
Help with end user education and address “how-to” questions
Have the ability to communicate with end users about technology in simple terms
Know, understand and interpret required PCI compliance requirements and responsibilities. Ability to monitor and report on daily compliance posture
Monitor, maintain and support LAN, WAN, VPN and Wireless network infrastructure. Including administration and maintenance of clustered fi rewalls and switches
Strong understanding of Windows Active Directory administration. DNS, GPO, gMSA, WSUS • Provide infrastructure support for application-related issues or projects
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
Experience with O365 suite including hosted email
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to quickly respond to critical problems
Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with server hosting and administration at a colocation facility
Research, test, and implement OS and vendor-specifi c software patches and upgrades • Create and update documentation and procedures
Responsibilities require being on-call rotation and may require work evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice

Minimum Qualifications

College degree or equivalent work experience
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienxce
Imagination
Enjoy working with people and be extremely outgoing
Able to think outside of the box and put ideas into action
Highly energetic and organized with a thorough knowledge of the products and services and have an aptitude to estimate, establish and communicate goals and ensure that they are met
Be a team player, adaptable to change and stay calm under pressure. Be able to think on your feet

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Windows Server 2022, Hyper-V, and virtualization
Knowledge of Cisco switching/networking
Experience with Fortinet fi rewalls and switches
Familiarity with Veeam Backup and Restore
Experience with ManageEngine products
Be able to lift up to 50lbs
