Requirements

Connsci is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cybersecurity and Privacy Training Instructor to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing comprehensive training programs essential for effective privacy and policy program management. These training modules shall cover all aspects of privacy, including legal requirements, organizational policies, data handling practices, and incident response procedures, as well as cyber security aspects of cybersecurity policy development and policy implementation. The instructor will be responsible for regularly updating training programs to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and organizational policies to ensure that all employees are aware of the latest requirements and best practices. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for:

Providing customized training programs as needed to ensure that various stakeholders understand how privacy and cybersecurity regulations and policies impact their duties and functions.
Developing and employing interactive training methods, such as micro trainings, online courses, in-person workshops, webinars, and interactive sessions allowing stakeholders to apply the knowledge provided in real-world scenarios.
Establishing a regular training schedule, including initial onboarding for new employees and periodic refresher courses for all staff, to ensure that privacy and cybersecurity knowledge is continuously reinforced.
Developing and implementing evaluation criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through such mechanisms as feedback surveys, tests, and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement, with the results of these evaluations shall be used to refine and enhance training content and delivery methods.
Developing and facilitating internal division work groups and training involving regular meetings to discuss privacy and cybersecurity policies, oversight, and training initiatives. The instructor will develop and implement a detailed record of work group discussions, decisions, and action items, as well as tracking progress on implementing privacy and cybersecurity policies and training initiatives, to ensure that stakeholders informed and engaged.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of experience developing and delivering training content using various formats and technologies.
At least 7 years of experience translating complex or technical information into understandable and engaging content
At least 5 years of experience interfacing with government clients and managing their expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, or a related field, with a focus on training and education.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, privacy laws, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, Privacy Act)
Experience with e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience interfacing with government clients and managing their expectations, with preference for candidate who have worked within CMS or other HHS agencies

Location: This position can be performed on a remote basis but there may be occasional on site team meetings, so preference will be given to candidates located in the DC Metro region.
