Essential Functions

Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance business operations.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and assess their potential impact on the organization. Oversee the management of IT systems, networks, infrastructure, and data centers.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.
Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing IT team.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT staff.
Monitor and assess the organization's cybersecurity posture and implement appropriate safeguards.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data security and privacy.
Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate IT-related risks.
Works closely with the executive team, mid-level and general managers.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent
or one to two years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience
In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Strong service orientation and the ability to build and maintain a customer focused support culture
The ability to support large user populations and deployment of various user facing desktop application and platforms
Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills; highly developed verbal and written communication
Strong problem-solving skills and the tolerance for ambiguity.

Required Technical Skills / Experience

Prior management of an IT Help Desk team or IT Department Staff
Must have basic knowledge and experience with current data center technologies, such as Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, system and network design and security, backup and recovery and system monitoring
Experience with the following is highly recommended Microsoft Exchange 2013+, Office 365, VMWare ESXi 6+, Citrix XenApp v.7.6+, Microsoft SQL 2014+, Cisco Unified Communication Manager, WebEx and related video technologies.

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $80k - $125k . Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

IT Manager - Responsible for the operational management of the organization’s IT department. IT staff leadership, project management, help desk operations, infrastructure expansion and upgrades, system security, and disaster recovery are major areas of concentration.
