VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Network Engineer

Minimum Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma/GED

Experience

6+ years of experience with configuration and management of Network Devices
Experience with DoD IT security requirements, including installing patches and conducting STIG reviews
Ability to analyze and refine standard operating procedures
Experience with firmware upgrades and reimaging of network devices
Experience with networking, including exceptional knowledge and understanding of Cisco ISE, Firewalls, and DNS
Experience with systems and service monitoring, including SolarWinds and GemONE
Active DoD 8570 Compliant IAT-II certification, such as: Security+, CCNA-Security, CASP+ or CISSP
CCNA or CCNP Certification
TS/SCI level Clearance required.

Additional Qualifications

Experience with DevOps and/or network automation
Willingness to work across teams to integrate Network capabilities
Experience with generating network documentation
Experience with following, developing and enhancing IT troubleshooting processes
Experience with using BMC Remedy for ticket queue maintenance and ticket tracking
Experience with configuration and management of Network assets using DNA Center/Catalyst Control Center
Basic knowledge of managing AD and Group Policy
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will provide Tier III network support to maintain high availability for operations across multiple enterprise networks, classification enclaves, and physical locations. These enterprise networks are configured to support the Comply to Connect (C2C) requirements. This will require the Engineer to have a firm understanding of Network Access Control via Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Daily responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining a mixture of Juniper and Cisco brand network assets using multiple tools including Splunk, ACAS, Infoblox and more. Such network infrastructure will include multilayer switches, routers, Cisco ASA's, Juniper and Palo Alto Firewalls. Network Engineering is responsible for all manner of maintenance, from physically cleaning or cabling a switch to upgrading Operating Systems and applying security controls based on DISA's STIG checklist to harden a network device. While providing Tier III network support, you will regularly interface with other Tier III Engineering teams to apply thorough diagnostic techniques when identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues throughout the network. Collaboration with other Tier III Engineering teams will also be required when standing up or integrating new network capabilities. Network asset management will be performed to maintain active licenses, up-to-date images, and hardware life cycles of all network infrastructure devices. As a member of the team, the Network Engineer will be expected to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all network configurations and troubleshooting procedures based on known issues and/or recent outages. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience physically moving and replacing networking equipment, relabeling hardware, and organizing the network closets.
