GCI's Network Administrator I will provide support and expertise in local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), internet system, and storage area network (SAN) in support of complex client-server environments. Position will provide operational monitoring, support, analysis, and systems administration. Install, configure, and support the organization’s networks by maintaining systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of data communications hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required: *A combination of relevant work experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may substitute to meet the total years required on a year-for-year basis

High School diploma or equivalent.
Associate’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or relevant field. *
Minimum of four (4) years’ experience within a technical LAN/WAN Networking Operations; computer systems, or related background. *

Preferred:

Experience within the telecommunications industry.
CCNA; CCNP, CCIE; CWNA; Juniper; CompTIA; HDI, ITIL
Other telecom industry or job specific certifications.
