The US student debt crisis is surging to epic proportions—topping nearly $2T as of mid-2024. With the ensuing debt constraint it creates resulting in increasing links to homelessness, food insecurity and even in extreme cases, loss of health and life, Cadet Prosparette is bringing long-overdue resolution by training teens proactively to avoid predatory lending pitfalls.

We’re looking for a fellow change maker fired up about all things social impact, financial health and tech to come aboard as our co-founder and CTO; if that’s you, read on!

Role Overview

As co-founder and CTO, you’ll be playing an essential role in shaping the company’s culture and operations, shepherding product build out, and attracting/retaining top-level tech talent, including front end and back end software engineers and UX designers.

Must be based in or able to relocate to the greater New York City area.

Qualifications

-Advanced software engineering proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript/CoffeeScript, Go, Java, Python

-Front-end: React, Svelte, CSS/SCSS, Three.js, jQuery, Figma

-Back-end: Spring, SQL, GraphQL

-Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments

-Strong analytical skills

-Previous startup experience (for profit or non profit) preferred
