If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Authorization Specialist at a multi-clinic outpatient physical therapy organization.

Duties Would Include But Not Be Limited To

Review clinic schedules dailyIdentify those patients that require authorization, from the date of the Initial EvaluationUpdate an Authorization spreadsheet in Microsoft excel with the:Patient NameEMR NumberInsuranceAdd appointment DateReview and update appointments for all patients on the corresponding clinics authorization spreadsheets dailyCommunicate with the clinics when additional information is needed to obtain an authorizationProgress NoteSchedule a Peer-to-Peer meetings with payor and providerCommunicate with staff if there is a question or problem with a patients authorizationAuthorization and/or Billing Experience Required.Perform authorizations occasionally.Understanding of insurance verification required.Data Entry

Experience with medical insurance or physical therapy is required. Most importantly, familiarity and comfort with technology is important to transition successfully to our EMR and daily systems.

Job Type:Part-time up to 24 hours / week.

Pay:Starting at $17.00 per hour
