As a growing robotics delivery, we are in need of a savvy IT generalist to build systems that allow day to day operations running smoothly. You will be in charge of big parts of our onboarding, IT security, efficiency for operational centers, and general automation. Additionally, you’ll likely get exposed a lot to our cloud infrastructure work and the ways how the cloud integrates with the physical world. The role may also include a need for occasional traveling to different company offices.

Responsibilities

Build and own on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees: hardware, account setup, access levels, training.
Build, monitor and support our mission critical on-premise infrastructure across multiple offices and operational centers.
Own vendor relationships for office and employee hardware providers as well as company-wide service providers.
Acquisition, Configuration, Maintenance/Repairs and policy compliance for Serve laptop and desktop computer endpoints as well as on-premise depot infrastructure.
Automate setup and management of hardware and software for employees and remote operator workstations.
Drive the requirements for third-party operational centers that are used for robot assistance: operator stations setup, network, internet routing, etc.
Work with contract hardware engineering and manufacturers on ensuring they have proper hardware, network and software setup for components and assemblies validation.
Work with the security team to plan, implement and manage a centralized asset inventory, mobile device management and endpoint security detection and response systems.
Work with the security team to plan, test and deploy endpoint security patches following a routine patching schedule.
Provide assistance with technical issues, as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of working in IT or DevOps.
Experience building IT systems for 200+ person organization.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, experience in automation through scripting.
Experience with systems administration, account and accesses management.
Experience setting up, tuning and troubleshooting high-performance office network and internet.
Experience in vendor management: selecting the best vendor for the job, setting up contracts and payment terms, managing the relationship.
Experience developing and deploying IT SOPs, policies and procedures.
Experience with scaling IT systems through hyper growth.
Willingness to occasionally travel to offices in other cities for technical setup and support.

What makes your standout

Knowledge of higher-level provisioning tools like Ansible/Packer/Terraform.
Experience with cloud systems, especially Google Cloud.
Experience in running IT teams and/or managing IT contractors.
Experience in running IT security programs.
