Job Description:

The Pallet Manager will oversee and manage the Total Pallet Management (TPM) program across multiple regional sites. This role requires in-depth knowledge of local pallet and labor markets to optimize commodity revenues and ensure efficient operations. The RSPM plays a crucial role in driving operational and business strategies, including research, on-site evaluations, analysis, planning, and implementation of key TPM initiatives. Frequent travel is required to ensure program success.

The primary objective is to deliver comprehensive TPM services for Company Suppliers by continuously improving processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining uptime for grinding and processing equipment within the TPM supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee all TPM operations at multiple locations within the assigned region.
Third-Party Site Management: Oversee third-party TPM sites, including P&L responsibility for these locations. Crews at these sites may operate multiple shifts, with 15 to 25 employees per shift.
Performance Analysis & Improvement: Analyze site performance and efficiencies, develop action plans, and collaborate with site leaders to drive improvements.
Leadership & Guidance: Provide direction and guidance to third-party managers and customer leadership within the assigned region.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring smooth site operations.
Mentorship: Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for third-party managers across the region.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental protocols set by company and property owners, including contractor compliance.
Special Projects: Lead special projects or take on additional duties as required.

Internal Control Responsibilities:

Support the company’s internal control processes by understanding and complying with established controls.
Identify and propose changes to policies, procedures, and controls to align better with business needs.
Report any operational issues, policy violations, or noncompliance with the code of conduct.
Take ownership of internal control management, ensuring all required tasks are completed and signed off monthly by direct reports.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

While this role may not initially have direct reports, as the business expands, supervision may increase.
Provide advisory support to third-party contractors within the TPM sites.
