Technical Support Specialist - W2 Contract to Hire Position, Onsite in Bedford, MA (Healthcare)

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist skilled in diagnosing and resolving desktop issues, managing user accounts, configuring hardware/software, and collaborating with IT teams, while handling support requests and maintaining an accurate inventory. This position is onsite in Bedford, MA. Contract to Hire and up to $35.00 per hour *Temp to Perm after 15 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex desktop issues; recommend and implement solutions.
Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory, add computers to the domain, and set up VOIP phones.
Install and configure workstations, hardware, and software.
Collaborate with Network and Systems Administrators for efficient desktop operations.
Administer and resolve issues with end-user workstations, telecom, and network products.
Respond to support calls, emails, and tickets.
Maintain inventory of software and hardware; update as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience.
IT/System Support experience.
Familiarity with Windows 10, O365, Windows Server, Mac OS, Intune, Active Directory, MDT, Sophos, VPN, Citrix, Secure Printing, and Mac iOS.
Experience with Dell desktops, notebooks, Macs, and handheld devices.
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and deployment/security utilities.
Research skills for computing issues.

Preferences:

CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certifications.
Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell).
