Job Summary

Homeland has partnered with a Managed Service Provider (MSP), who is hiring a Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. The team focuses on delivering high-quality IT solutions and support to a variety of their clients. Their goal is to provide outstanding service and innovative technology solutions that help their clients reach their business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a solid networking background, with experience in Sophos and Fortinet technologies. As a Network Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures for clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Configure and maintain network security devices, with a focus on Sophos and Fortinet technologies
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance
Provide technical support and guidance to clients, resolving network-related issues promptly and efficiently
Implement and manage network security measures to protect client data and infrastructure
Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and services
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures
Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in network technologies

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably within an MSP environment
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching
Hands-on experience with Sophos and Fortinet products, including firewalls, UTM, and VPN solutions
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
Proficiency in configuring and managing network monitoring tools
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, NSE, or Sophos Certified Engineer) are a plus
