The Cyber Security Engineer provides IT security engineering, integration services and solutions.

Essential Duties

Demonstrated on-the-job experience recommending best practices in system and security architecture, when required, that promotes cost-effective and efficient systems solutions consistent with policy.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience working with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing and/or acquiring cyber security principles against Information Assurance policies and regulations, analyze risk, recommend mitigating countermeasures, and writing short, succinct business propositions.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience or knowledge of vulnerabilities and assessments tools and hand-on testing experience, especially for cloud-based systems.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience coordinating and performing system and security testing, analyzing and document test results, documenting risk and recommending mitigating countermeasures to identified threats, vulnerabilities, and shortfalls.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience or knowledge identifying and applying the appropriate level of recommended remediation to security anomalies or integrity loopholes such as system weakness or vulnerabilities, especially for cloud-based systems.
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CompTIA Security+ preferred

Optional Skills

Demonstrated on-the-job experience participating or leading technical exchange meetings and application review boards, documenting actions items/results of these events.
