About
Information Security Analyst with previous background in music performance and university administration.
Information Security Analyst Experience:
- ANALYST ALERTS: I work with SIEM/IDS/IPS alerts on a daily basis, identifying any threats or anomalies in IT networks and using OSINT/threat hunting tools when necessary.
- VULNERABILITY MANAGEMENT: I identify vulnerabilities based within networks and work with co-workers to remediate them based on severity and score.
- SECURITY AWARENESS TRAINING : I collaborate with co-workers in administering and maintaining a consistent security awareness training program for company employees and educate users on best security practices. Additionally, I consistently work suspicious/phishing email reports from users and make recommendations on how best to approach such emails.
- GRC: I have experience in the implementation and integration of a vendor risk management platform, which has included automating vendor questionnaire workflows, creating custom questions to add to questionnaires for business purposes, and assessing current vendor management processes to improve and expedite communication between parties. I have needed to apply my working knowledge of security frameworks like NIST 800-53 and industry standard questionnaires such as the Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ).
COORDINATOR OF PIANO AND COLLABORATIVE PIANO:
As Coordinator of Piano and Collaborative Piano at Plymouth State University for three years, I had the opportunity to work in a multi-faceted fashion, connecting with students, faculty, staff, and the community in more ways than one. Though I primarily worked as a nationally recognized performer and educator in the realm of music, I developed a newfound passion for community engagement, fundraising, and business management. One highlight of mine in 2021 was the ability to raise over $100,000 in a few months for a new concert grand piano and a high-tech piano lab system.
