Demonstrate extensive industry expertise and comprehensive technical background to lead the implementation of innovative revenue management solutions into operations for the hospitality, upstream O&G industries.
Provide leadership and direction to a resource-challenged client with four large data centers in a various global locations; support more than 70 field and business locations with approximately 24,000 employees.
• Interface with clients to assess needs and determine Scope of Work (SOW); create proposals and negotiate contractual agreements with clients.
• Orchestrate all facets of designing and building network architectures from the ground up or integrating upgrades/enhancement into preexisting infrastructures to improve communication services (for both wired/wireless network environments) in line with individual client requirements.
• Identify and facilitate immediate remediation for critical security breeches or design issues; identify and isolate assets that had been compromised.
• Formulate and/or implement corrective measures (OS upgrade, device hardening).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess remote sites with limited connectivity (VSAT or equivalent); ensure essential business apps are functional, provide site management with ability to allow “recreational” access for staff on long-term assignments.
• Provide technical consulting with a stalled Office 365 migration by identifying specific performance concerns and capacity, trouble shoot the validity of the concern and provide remediation to the stakeholders’ satisfaction.
• Build consensus and collaboration with departments with conflicting priorities and interests; discover areas of agreement and commit to reasonable expectations, build group trust in areas with histories of challenging implementations.
2019 :
Glidepath Inc
Principal Advisor
Served as company-wide Subject Matter Expert (SME) and authority on broad range of technologies including storage, networking, applications and security. Assured consistency in messaging with a variety of disciplines (storage, networking, applications) to large accounts, including large multinationals involved in commodities, banking, finance and retailers with a global presence.
• Leveraged expertise in complex or large-scale network design, and selection of the appropriate solution for WAN technologies - Dark fiber, lambda/wave service, VPLS and multiple SD-WAN solutions.
• Successfully deployed an enterprise-wide SD-WAN for a medical data services firm; addressed priority concerns of security and reliability.
• Planned and managed the migration of a traditional IPSEC to Meraki SD WAN for a healthcare company.
• Designed a roadmap for a commodities company to centralize to two data centers in UK (one existing, one greenfield). Assisted in locating dark fiber for data center interconnects (~400gb/s total capacity between sites).
2017 : 2019
Computex, Inc.
Computex Fellow
Direct mission-critical network security and infrastructure administration functions, serving as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all incident management and network security issue resolution, infrastructure architect and manager for an energy firm with more than 3,000 employees in the US, Canada and Mexico. Provide tier-three support to interdepartmental units and external customers on a global scale 24x7. Oversee a staff of two direct reports with responsibility for network design, performance, capacity/needs planning, support and budget management.
• Orchestrated and oversaw a network of more than 300 routers/switches/firewalls, more than 5,000 LAN ports, 900+ servers, 190+ WiFi access points, multiple data centers and remote sites in three countries ranging from small solar farms in remote locations to major business offices with complex communications needs.
• Designed and implemented core, campus and datacenter LAN switching and routing platforms. Provided guidance to application, development and operations groups to ensure consistent, reliable, and error-free deployments, and minimized need for high-value resource involvement.
• Initiated and managed 14-month network transition/upgrade from switched carrier network to private dark fiber, allowing transition of a multi-national/Americas data center/power grid operations infrastructure.
• Successfully completed the network upgrade with nonstop application uptime to grid management system operations, with significant CapEx/OpEx savings.
• Increased throughput of Enterprise Network Operations including partners/technologies : Zayo Group/Level3/SD WAN/Ciena/Palo Alto/Multi-Platform.
• Coordinated the networking hands-on iSCSI, Fiber Channel/Storage, Route/Switch transition from MPLS toSD WAN that included more than 100 sites using Meraki, VeloCloud, and Cradlepoint.
• Successfully completed and passed every third-party internal & external Pen Test and Vulnerability test.
