· Second in command of 147-person IT organization.
· Envisioned, planned and implemented move to DevOps focusing on automation of release processes, process optimization and culture change. Moved most customer-facing applications from a 2 build per year cycle to a 26+ build per year cycle. Changed most release processes from a requiring 6+ hours of downtime to on the fly changes with 0 system downtime. Current plans are to be at full continuous deployment to production by 2018.
· Envisioned, Planned and implemented move from reactive to proactive system monitoring to increase customer experience and to facilitate the move to DevOps. Moved from 100% reactive environment to one in which 78% of problems are found internally and approximately 50% of those are found and resolved within 1 day without any indications that customers were aware a problem existed.
· Heading all aspects of a companywide project to move the LSAT from paper-and-pencil to a tablet-based model. This project includes working with extensively with over 60 staff from all departments to design all phases of the test registration, check-in and delivery.
· Oversee all software development for LSAC including our ACES2 admissions system used as the main admissions tool by all US law schools. Staff includes 47 developers.
· Oversaw LSAC’s successful bid to acquire administration of the Multi-State Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) for the National Council of Bar Examiners. Providing this generates LSAC over $1.5 million per year while costing less than $500,000 to administer netting over $1 million in net gain per year for LSAC. This success has led to the NCBE requesting other new services from LSAC.
· Part of management team working with Khan Academy to implement LSAT preparation on Khan Academy’s platform.
· 117 of 118 projects delivered on-time. 30 of 32 projects requiring over 10 person years of work delivered at or under budget.
