Network & Information Security Administrator
Join our team at a North American leader in the manufacturing niche sector, based in Charleston, SC. In this vital role, you will act as a Network & Information Security Administrator, playing a pivotal part in bridging our network infrastructure and security frameworks. This job requires an on-site presence and is designed for a candidate eager to lead and innovate in network troubleshooting, information security, and cyber threat mitigation while collaborating with our Managed Security Services Provider. You will lead the implementation of cutting-edge security policies and tools ensuring a high level of security across our corporate network.
Compensation: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for network and security issue resolution and communication with our Managed Security Services Provider.
- Analyze and evaluate security incidents, ensuring effective response plans are executed and preventative measures are assessed.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the implementation of Information Security roadmaps and policies in line with CIS controls.
- Monitor emerging security threats and technologies to enhance security measures throughout our network and systems.
- Design and implement stringent security configurations across various networks and infrastructures.
- Lead vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts to continuously improve our security posture.
- Facilitate security training sessions to enhance awareness and understanding of potential cyber threats.
- Create comprehensive incident response plans and documentation, and lead the response activities during security breaches.
- Ensure rigorous management of firewalls, VPNs, network security tools, and system-level security patches.
- Establish metrics and generate detailed performance reports for senior management, enabling informed decision-making.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal IT teams to promote best practices in information security.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in networking, preferably with hands-on experience in using Cisco and Fortinet equipment.
- Strong expertise in WAN/LAN setup, VLAN configurations, firewall rule management, and network routing and switching.
- Profound knowledge of information security principles, Windows systems/security, and Microsoft 365 security features.
- Familiarity with CIS Critical Security Controls or similar frameworks, and a thorough understanding of the OSI model and network security layers.
- Excellent skills in Active Directory and Group Policy management, combined with a rigorous approach to antivirus, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Mandatory Certifications: Security+, Network+.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications like Microsoft Security, Fortinet, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are highly desirable.
