Systems/Network Administrator (Mfg. Facility)
We are excited to offer an opportunity within our leading North American manufacturing company located in Charleston, SC. We are looking for an experienced Systems/Network Administrator to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure essential for our manufacturing operations. This role involves direct interaction with the Operations and Engineering teams, contributing to both process improvements and technological advancements in an on-site capacity. Compensation: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Administer both physical and virtual servers in the plant operations environment, specifically Windows servers running on VMWare.
- Manage the Active Directory domains along with the backup and recovery systems in a plant operations setting.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team to secure the plant operations environment against intrusion, disruption, or data loss.
- Handle administration of Thin Manager & Thin Client Systems, physical operator stations, and standalone PCs.
- Work closely with plant engineering and electrical teams on implementing necessary changes, adhering strictly to the engineering and IT change management processes.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
- Partner with the IT Infrastructure team to define network specifications and support the Service Desk with network and systems-related issues.
- Mentor and train other IT team members in systems administration and troubleshooting, ensuring skills transfer and continuity of service.
- Drive organizational goals by actively pursuing continuous improvements in the Operational Technology environment.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4-7 years of IT experience, preferably in an Industrial Manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
- Capable of performing at a Service Desk level 2-3.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with abilities in root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SCADA Systems, PLCs, and HMI devices.
- Familiarity with Cisco Nexus switches, Siemens Industrial network equipment, VSAN, VMWare 7, Veeam, and Fortigate firewalls.
