About Team
This group drives Engineering and Operational excellence initiatives across different pillars within and outside of GRT in cooperation with Global Technology initiatives and the high priority needs for the new and emerging businesses in the GRT portfolio. You will be building tools and infrastructure to support initiatives for the GRT engineering community and optimizing developer processes across the portfoloio. Will define software, , approaches, design guidelines, prototypes, and demonstrations to achieve these objectives in public and private cloud deployments for applications related to Health and Wellness, Marketing and Advertising, and for a number of new businesses that are developing at Walmart
What You Will Do
Identify and Optimize Opportunities: Systematically enhance and track technology infrastructure reliability, efficiency, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization. Innovation and Strategy: Demonstrate the business value of architecture and technology best practices in enabling business strategies and driving innovation. Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap development. Enhance Technology Environment: Research industry trends, benchmark internal processes, and define comprehensive software development guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Leverage AI Models: Utilize AI to streamline processes, boost productivity, and gain deeper insights into data. Effective Communication: Regularly communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with QA engineers, Product Manager, UX/UI Designers and DevOps teams. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, fostering innovation and excellence in development teams. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guise technical teams. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges. Adaptability to changing technology landscapes, business needs, and priorities.
What You Will Bring
Cloud Deployment Expertise: Extensive experience in public and private cloud deployments with a proven track record of improving operational excellence. Architectural Leadership: Strong experience leading large-scale software development and automation projects with a focus on scalability and efficiency. Visionary Communication: Ability to articulate a clear vision for architecture design and effectively communicate it to stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of distributed technologies, public cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud), data structures, and algorithms. Hands-On Programming: Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and frameworks (e.g., Kafka, GraphQL, Kubernetes) Collaborative Experience: Proven experience working with geographically distributed teams. Educational Background: Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred. Development Experience: 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, or engineering. Operations Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in Operations as an SRE or DevOps leader and engineer.

Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00-$312,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-08479:The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00
Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.
