Cyber Instructor
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for a pivotal role in the training of our next generation of Cyber warriors that will be charged with detecting advanced cyber threats to the government's most critical cyber systems? Instead of letting the attackers run roughshod in our networks, let’s go find them. Cyber threats are evolving, and perimeter security and automated protection aren’t enough—it’s time to train our teams in the art of threat hunting.
We’re looking for a Cyber Instructor who can train a diverse audience of military and DoD cyber warriors to think like cyber attackers to figure out how to circumvent security measures. You’ll use your network defense experience and analytical skills to rapidly build scripts to create haystacks and sift through the false positives to find patterns and indicators. This is a chance to help trainees think differently about cyber defense, use completely new tools and approaches, and develop the next generation of security analytics. You Have:
- 4+ years of experience performing Cyber Defense Analyst duties
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and access control methods
- Ability to use data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools, including IDS alerts, firewalls, and network traffic logs to analyze events that occur in their environments to mitigate threats
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- IAT Level II Certification, including SEC+, GICSP, CySA+, or GSEC
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with developing performance-based training materials and assessments Learning Management Systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity
- Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) Certification
- Military or Civilian Instructor Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
