The Director of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity will lead and administrate the IT systems of an innovative, fast paced, dynamic healthcare company. This role will be responsible for all on site IT systems administration, application development and vendor support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, disaster recovery, virtual and cloud platform.
- Ensure the stability, scalability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure to meet business needs and industry standards.
- Develop and implement the organization’s information security strategy, aligning it with business objectives and risk tolerance.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring a secure and productive IT environment while maintaining compliance with company-wide IT standards.
- Ensure compliance with Government standards (FDA, HIPAA, ISO 13485).
- Oversee the management of infrastructure and network operations to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Oversee the development of IT conceptual architecture, both internal and cloud, and next-generation IT systems for all the technical activities required by the organization such as collaboration services, data management, and scientific analysis.
- Establish enterprise architecture aligning business capabilities with technical capabilities into a clear and comprehensive vision with implementation strategies and delivery roadmaps.
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with vendors / network architects on network optimization.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Manage the procurement of hardware and IT equipment, evaluating vendors and negotiating contracts for cost-effective purchases.
- Develop onboarding processes for new employees, providing IT orientation and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the IT environment.
- Provide help desk support for IT-related issues to end-users, resolving basic technical problems and escalating complex issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of IT management experience in Network and Systems administration, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure.
- Experience in Healthcare IT or Healthcare Providers / Hospitals a plus.
- Experience in cybersecurity and privacy practices and disciplines.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, software architecture, and technology governance.
- Experience in Laboratory Information Systems a plus (LIS, Orchard).
- Experience with Infrastructure, network and cloud environments.
- Experience in administering Office 365, Adobe, and ERP systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Technical degree or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Computer Science a plus.
