Role Specific Responsibilities
- Vulnerability and Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate risks, and effectively implement strategies to mitigate security weaknesses.
- Security Controls Implementation: Design, implement, and manage security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and data encryption technologies to protect systems and data.
- Incident Analysis: Respond to security alerts and incidents promptly. Analyze and determine the root cause of security breaches or threats and develop appropriate countermeasures.
- Threat Intelligence: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends. Utilize this knowledge to recommend and apply effective defense strategies.
- Security Tool Maintenance: Ensure that all security tools and technologies are maintained and updated to provide the highest level of protection against threats.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT peers to ensure security is integrated into all facets of our technology environment, from new system development to daily operations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex security risks and solutions to the organization's technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years in information security engineering or a closely related role, preferably within the manufacturing sector or a similar industry.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient understanding of security principles, tools, and technologies. Demonstrated experience in managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and conducting vulnerability assessments.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents to develop effective mitigation and response strategies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate security and risk-related concepts to a diverse audience.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
